More Affordable Senior Housing is Coming!

The Cowichan Lake Elder Care Society (CLECS) has been working with local residents, the Town of Lake Cowichan, the Ts’uubaa-asatx Nation, BC Housing and local professionals to build Lakewood Manor, a 30-unit affordable housing project in Lake Cowichan for those aged 55+. The CLECS Board members (9) are looking for community members who share our goal of providing quality housing that allows our residents to age in our community with family and friends close by.

We’d like to invite community members to join our Board. The Board meets once a month and works closely with a Development Consultant on our project. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 6:00pm at the Lake Cowichan Christian Fellowship Church. New members are welcome and the Executive position of Secretary is currently vacant. We hope to fill this volunteer position with someone who has experience in taking minutes, society reporting and correspondence, and record keeping.
